Dr Nelum Perera

MBBS,MD(Paediatrics), DCH(Paediatrics), FRACGP.

Dr Nelum Perera is originally from Sri Lanka. She started her GP career in 2006 while doing specialist training in paediatrics. She obtained her High Diploma (2009) and MD in 2012. Then, she received her paediatric neurology specialist training as a fellow at several well-reputed healthcare providers, including Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Sri Lanka, Kings College Hospital, London and Lady Cilento Hospital, QLD.

Upon completing her training in 2017, Dr Perera commenced working for the Greenslopes Private Hospital part-time, followed by working as a full-time general practitioner, which started in 2019. In 2021 she obtained her FRACGP. Dr Nelum enjoys diversity in general practice.

Her interest is broad, particularly chronic disease management, weight management, women’s and children’s health, aged health, mental health and neurology. She is a strong advocate of a multidisciplinary approach to health care and is committed to high-quality patient care.
